Zoella Beauty

I've been loving trying new products recently and changing up the products I always go to. Since Zoella has launched her first beauty products I haven been meaning to try them but the shipping can be a bit pricey. The other night I found myself on the feel unique site at around 2am and ordered some products, it did take a few weeks to get here but thats expected.

Most of the stuff is from her new line because I am still in the summer mood. But overall the products are awesome.

This is the only product I purchased from her older line and I believe it is my favourite. I use it more as a shower cream them a bath soak because I'm personally more of a shower person. The product leaves your skin soft and the sent is a cozy light scent.

Isn't the packaging just the cutest, I love the extra detail in it. I like this product also, I find the scent to be a little more perfume then the ones from the original line. Also you only need a little of this it is more of a body butter.

As I have said before i'm more of a shower person, but I like the occasional bath to relax in. I love the extra detail Zoe put into the product by putting Z's on each block.

Where do I begin with this product its tied with the shower cream as my favourite. It is very affordable for a scrub, and lasts a long time. This scrub has the perfect amount of scrub to it as its not extremely harsh on your skin but it does its purpose. I have dry skin and this works perfect on my skin, also its great if you have a spray tan and are trying to get the remainder away.

Can't wait to try more of her products.

Reuse Old Binders

The new school year is just around the corner or has started for some people. Buying all new school supplies can get pretty expensive so why not reuse your binders. Here is an inexpensive way to change up the look of last years binders.

Washi Tape Binder
 washi tape
♡ scissors
 binder

This DIY is supper easy all you need to do is pick a pattern you want to create with the wash tape and apply it to the binder.

Cardstock Binder
 ♡ cardstock
 ♡ white paper
 ♡ scissors
 ♡ glue
 ♡ ruler
 ♡ marker

Once you choose the cardstick color you want, take your white paper and ruler. I cut my white paper the thickness of a ruler, then write the subject on the paper with the marker. Then glue it to the cardstock and slip it into the binder

Hope you guys give this a try.

Chicago

I love traveling, especially to new places with friends. Last August me and my 2 best friends took a little vacation to Chicago, Illinois. This was the first time either of us had been there. Now to be honest we traveled there to go to a One Direction concert. But I had quickly fallen in love, each day my love for the place grew and the concert was just the icing on the cake. I am definitely in the mood to travel, and was scrolling threw the photos on my phone and came across the Chicago ones. I can't wait to travel back there in the future.

The view of the city from the Aquarium (I loved the Aquarium!!)

 View walking around out hotel

Love how they decorate their sidewalks, just adds a nice touch

 The BEAN!!!!!

Ferris wheel on the navy pier, loved it and what an amazing view especially while the sun is setting.

See you soon Chicago

DIY Garden Glow Jars

Enjoy nights out on the deck or in the garden with the easy DIY.

What you need
 coloured marbles of your choice
 clear marbles
 glow in the dark paint
 ziplock baggie
 wax paper
 jar

Step one:
You will need your ziplock baggies, paint and clear marbles. Start by putting your clear marbles in the baggie and putting some paint in the baggies. Shake the baggie to disperse the paint and evenly coat the marbles.

Step Two:
Once your marbles are coated with paint lay the marbles out on the wax paper to dry. Use wax paper because the paint will dry to the surface of the paper and it can easily be removed. Leave the marbles to try, you may  want to move them around on the wax paper now and then just to make sure it all dries.

Step Three:
If wanted coat the marbles in a second coat of glow in the dark paint (makes them glow better, but its up to you) and leave them to dry.

Step Four:
Take your coloured marbles, now glow in the dark marbles and jar. Put the marbles into the jar and its easiest if you alternate about every layer.

August Ipsy Bag

Like everyone I love getting packages in the mail because its like Christmas. I just got a notification that my package was in my mail box and ran to the mailbox because I couldn't wait to get it. I just received my first ipsy bag in the mail. Ipsy is a monthly subscriptions service it averages about $10 a month but for Canadians mine was about $20. When you sign up you take a quiz so that they can pick products that fit your style, you receive 5 products and a makeup bag. I have been interested in ipsy for quite some time but there has always been a wait list, but recently they had a no wait list for 48 hours so I signed up. Here is what I received in my ipsy bag

Cleansing milk made with certified organic ingredients

Marc Anthony nourishing Argan Oil of Morocco

AILA nail polish in Mister Pookies

Skone Cosmetics Luxe Doubler (Eye and Lip Pencil) in 18-Wine

Noyah All-Natural Lipstick in Desert Rose

I can't wait to start using these products and can't wait for my September Ipsy bag.

DIY Glue Tie Dye

Summer is a great time to get outside and do some DIY's. Here is a great DIY to help finish off the rest of the summer.

What you need
Elmer's gel glue (the blue kind, it works the best)
♡ t-shirt
 tie-dye
♡ gloves
♡ bucket (to mix tie-dye in)
cardboard or the top of a big container

Step 1:
Get your t-shirt damp by rinsing it in cold water and wringing it out.

Step 2:
Take your cardboard or the top of a big container and put it in-between your shirt. Then take the Elmer's glue and write the saying or draw what you want on your t-shirt.

Then let your t-shirt dry over night or until your glue becomes clear.

Step 3:
Follow the directions on your tie-dying kit and tie-dye your shirt to your liking. Then leave it to dry.

Step 4:
Wash your shirt alone in the washer to make sure all the extra die is out of your shirt.

This DIY is awesome and I have done it the last few summers. Hope you guys give it a try.

St. Tropez Self Tanner

Don't you just love having a tan during the summer, it gives you a nice glow and a boost of confidence. Well this summer we have had a lack of sun and warm weather, so I turned to self tanner. Anybody that knows me knows that me and self tanner aren't friends because I either look like an Oompa Loompa or like I rolled in dirt. I have tried a ton of products like the Jurgen's self tanner booth the new and older formula, both left me orange. I would follow the directions and be streaky and orange. I was ready to throw in the towel and accept my ghostly appearance but I decided to give it one last shot with this product.

This self tanner is idiot proof, trust me if I can do it anyone can. The mitt that comes with it helps a ton as it helps with the application, so your hands don't turn orange and it makes it easier to buff in the product. Also the color of the product has a little green tint to it which is scary at first but it just means that it won't be orange and as you apply the tanner you can see where you are applying the product which is great so you know you aren't missing spots.

I'm not gonna lie the first time I used it I was a little streaky but that was because I have never used a formula like it before. This product is becoming a staple for  me this summer and gives me a little boost of confidence that everyone needs. I will be reporting this product in the full size once I finish this travel size up.

DIY Flower Wreath

Spice up your front door with this easy DIY flower wreath. You can choose any colors you want and whatever size you want. Mine has 4 different shades of blue with white in the middle and is about 30cm wide.

What you need
 glue gun
cardboard circle (cut to size of your choosing)
4 different colors of paper cut in 4"x4" squares using about 6 sheets per color
white paper cut in 3"x3" squares

Step One: Make Pedals

To make your pedals you will need your 4"x 4" and 3"x 3"squares and your glue gun. Take one square at a time and form a cone shape. It is the easiest if you put your paper facing you in a diamond shape and and roll it until your corner overlaps the other side and glue it. Its hard to explain, here is a link to a video if you need help https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pBmKBY-9R3g

Step Two: Make Flower

Take your darkest color and start placing your pedals around your cardboard circle, they should be about 1" in from the edge. Once you get your placement the way you want it glue them to the cardboard circle.

Then repeat the same process for your others colors until your wreath is finished. i found it easier to put the second color pedals in between the first color and did that until I got to the middle.

Once you have the wreath done to your liking you can add a sting to the back, so you can hang it on your door. Here is the finished product, it is a little time consuming but looks gorgeous.

Hiking

Warm and sunny here today, honestly probably the first time since June. I love spending my summer outside, but with our weather I haven't been out much. The scatter day its been nice I love to go hiking. Hiking is great because you get to explore new areas and trails that you never knew existed. It also gives you a feeling that you are out in the wilderness when the path could be right in the middle of the city, its amazing.

It gives you a time to reflect, enjoy the view of your surrounding and allows you to destress. Its amazing what you can see in your city by just going on a hike on the outskirts of town.

I enjoy hiking with my friends the most because it gives you time to catch up if you haven't hung out in a while and if its something you both enjoy then great.

The views you can discover are just amazing

I better go out and enjoy the sun while we still have it, who knows how long this weather will last.
